Extended through April 21, 2024! A selection of printed works from the rock stars of contemporary art.
Master printer and publisher Jack Lemon started Landfall Press in 1970 in Chicago after his training with the well-known artist, Thomas Hart Benton. Lemon became one of the top printmakers in the U.S., and his expertise drew the attention of major artists of the 20th and 21st Century. Lemon eventually moved Landfall Press to Santa Fe, and brought luminary artists such as Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Kara Walker, and Judy Chicago, to Santa Fe.
Landfall Press, a highly regarded institution in the field of printmaking, has selected Turner Carroll Gallery to preserve its archive and oversee its legacy. Turner Carroll is now the guardian of Landfall's lithography inventory, books, artist correspondence, print documentation, and a comprehensive archive spanning over fifty years. Landfall Press: Iconic Prints is presented by CONTAINER, and will celebrate our acquisition of over five decades of artistic achievement by Landfall Press.
