The child is holding a shadow puppet which Swoon and her team made with the children on the last day before Swoon and her team left Haiti. Edline's story is a testament to the transformative power of art. As Swoon and her team constructed the Konbit shelter in Haiti the entire community, including Edline, built a community art center. This space, a testament to their collective spirit, became a source of creative healing and fun, particularly for Edline who was there daily.
